Tripping in Annie #5, up the White, Chiwawa, and Entiat basins

 Just got back from a 12 day trip exploring a few river basins west of Lake Chelan and north of Lake Wenatchee.

Tana had a good workout.
Actually, she's snoozing after a nice long hike.🐾

We mostly stayed at campgrounds, because they were almost all completely empty, had great views, and, because we found few good dispersed spots in these narrow river valleys and steep hillsides.

Fortunately (or cleverly chosen😏),  this area gets fewer visitors from the big city than spots closer to the mountain pass roads.
 Pretty much the only other campers showed up on the Saturday night in the middle of the trip. And those few folks were far away and out of sight.

So we had stream-side sites (and sights), and no neighbors. Just like we like.

Tana and I went on fantastic hikes with great views,

Lush meadows,

well maintained trails,

ample opportunities to  photo-bomb a rose bush,

and make consequential decisions on which life altering path to take.

Or just sit back near camp and cogitate,
stop to sniff the flowers,

let our hair down,

and enjoy fine, sophisticated dining.

Then off to bed with the gentle murmur of the streams flowing by our camps.
